🔬 Scientific Template

A top-down view with no perspective, plus a grid, vectors and room to compare two runs

What you actually get

For presenting results clearly: no effects that shift colour, and reference marks visible inside the image.

📐 Orthographic camera

A top-down view with no perspective, so distances can be compared by eye.

🧭 0.1 AU grid

A reference grid visible in the render, for run A and run B.

➡️ Labelled vectors

Earth's orbital velocity (29.78 km/s) and gravitational force (3.54e22 N), with the note "length not to scale".

🔍 Compare 2 runs

A separate origin for run B: import the second simulation, parent it, and the two sit on top of each other.

📝 Scale note

The visual scale is written inside the image.

🎨 True colour

Compositor off: colours come out as they are, for posters and presentations.

Requirements and contents

Blender 5.0 or higher · Windows, macOS or Linux · EEVEE or Cycles. Can't run Blender 5? A classic version for Blender 3.6 – 4.x is also included (simpler materials). To import your simulations: MHD-INT Importer add-on (free).

Includes: plantilla_cientifica.blend (Blender 5) with packed NASA textures, a classic version for Blender 3.6, instructions in Spanish and English, and credits. The numerical data (CSV/JSON) is exported from MHD-INT, not from the template.

Visual scale: at true scale, Earth would be invisible. Radii are enlarged (Sun ×15, Earth and Moon ×250, Earth–Moon distance ×12); the Sun–Earth distance is real (1 AU). The factors are written inside the file.
